For more than 80 years, Temple University's College of Engineering has provided excellence in engineering education. Five masters degree programs (bioengineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, environmental engineering, and mechanical engineering) and one doctoral program are offered through three academic departments. A talented and research-active faculty guide students in research and education. The master's and doctoral programs can be completed on a full-time or part-time basis. Master's students can choose to complete a thesis or non-thesis option. Students have opportunities to conduct interdisciplinary research with faculty from other colleges and schools within the university.

The College of Engineering has several laboratory facilities for carrying out advanced research. Facilities in the science departments at Temple University are also available for collaborative research. College of Engineering computer facilities include networked PC labs equipped with various engineering and mathematical software. Students also have access to Temple University's TECH Center, a 75,000-square-foot modern technology facility that is the largest of its kind in the nation. Research laboratories include a National Science Foundation (NSF) Industry / University Cooperative Research Center (I/UCRC) - with a focus on water quality and emerging contaminants (ECs).
