The Master's of Music ((MM, MMus) is an advanced 1 - 2 year degree, with both a thesis- and non-thesis option, for individuals that are seeking advanced studies in all aspects of music. The degree combines advanced studies in an applied area of specialization) with graduate-level academic study in subjects such as music history, music theory, or music pedagogy. The degree prepares students to be professional performers, conductors, and composers. This degree is typically open to applicants with a first degree in music, or with experience or an approved degree in an allied field acceptable to the department.
